Today our server Jeffery offered hands down the best customer service you could ever want. He was very informative of the menu. He also had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. We ordered the Cajun chicken with waffles and the waffles had a crispy exterior and a soft inside served with warm maple syrup. The Cajun chicken was excellent crispy juicy chicken. Not overly seasoned just the right amount for me as a person who cant have much salt. Perfect crunch and juicy succulent meat. The ambience was very nice cant wait to visit again and try other menu items. This was my first time here and there will definitely be more visits to come.

For this being our first time here. Best experience ever. The wait was very short for a Sunday during brunch. Clark was very nice and was the one who sat us. He later came by to check on us to make sure we were okay and if there was anything he could do for us. The staff was so nice, friendly and pleasant. The drinks loved them. Now let’s get to this food, so amazing and flavorful. I’m in a food coma. Rodney came by to check on us and he was so nice and welcoming. Great guy. Our waiter Brandon very attentive and on point. He took very great care of us. When I say top line service I mean felt like we were VIP. Definitely recommend coming here and eating.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere set the tone—spacious, stylish, and full of energy without feeling overcrowded. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a laid-back meal as it does for a night out. I ordered the Taste of Soul, and it was outstanding. Every component was cooked with care and flavor-forward intention—the kind of comfort food that feels both indulgent and well-executed. Rich, satisfying, and unapologetically soulful. You can tell this kitchen takes pride in what hits the plate. Between the excellent food, the inviting space, and the overall vibe, this spot easily earns a return visit. Taste Bar and Kitchen is doing it right, and I’ll definitely be back.

My friends and I were in Houston for a girls trip. The food was soooooo good! The wait time we were given accurate and even though they were understaffed we couldn’t tell. Our server Kevin was on point! Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. He had photos to help us make our selections. Enjoyed the entire experience. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

I wanted to share what an absolutely amazing experience we had at Taste Bar + Kitchen. The overall atmosphere is great, but the hospitality we received during our visit was truly exceptional—one of the best I have encountered. Our waitress, Akila, was top-tier. She was extremely helpful when we couldn't decide what to order, and we were truly grateful for her excellent service throughout the afternoon. Everything we tasted was great, and we will definitely be coming back again soon. If someone is looking for a place that offers top hospitality, a clean environment, great music, and exceptional food and service, this restaurant is a must-visit. Thank you for providing such a wonderful dining experience.

My server Akila was phenomenal! She was super knowledgeable of the menu, kind, and gave outstanding service. She’s detailed oriented and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend her. Our food was delicious and fresh as well. I love this place and will be back ! 10/10 experience!

Kevin was fantastic! He was so attentive, respectful, and paid great attention to detail. We didn’t miss a thing on our order, and when it arrived, it was absolutely delicious. His patience should be a model for everyone on your staff—he’s truly the best. Thank you, Kevin! Our experience here was wonderful. His detailed food photos were a great addition, providing us with the perfect experience for our hungry bellies, after a long trip from California and Vegas. Kevin is the best!

We made reservations which seems to be recommended. There were a few people waiting on a Monday night. This is a soul food restaurant. The seasoning of my dinner was exceptional. I got the shrimp and grits with a side of creamed corn. The grits were a tad spicy, but paired well with the corn. My husband said the creamed corn was the best he has ever tasted. He had an excellent fried catfish. Cons- my grits were lukewarm. Service was not great. We sat at the top of the restaurant and it took us 45 minutes to get the drinks we ordered. After dinner we waited an additional 45 minutes for the to go dessert and check.
